Bob Kenney

Bob Kenney has spent the past 10 years prosecuting criminal cases as an assistant district attorney in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He is licensed to practice before all courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been admitted to the bar of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is currently liaison for District Attorney Tim Cruz with the judges of the Superior Court Trial Department.

With a rapidly growing population slightly in excess of one million persons, Plymouth County consists of 23 towns and the City of Brockton. It is located along the southeast coast of Massachusetts from 10 miles south of Boston to Cape Cod. The four district courts in the county process approximately 20,000 criminal cases per year, with around 600 serious felony cases being indicted by Grand Jury and moving to the Superior Court.

Prior to joining the prosecution team of District Attorney Michael Sullivan (currently Director, United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as well as United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts) he was in private practice for just under 10 years. As a criminal defense lawyer he litigated hundreds of cases and argued appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court; Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In the past 20 years he has prosecuted and defended in excess of 2,000 cases and has been counsel of record in over 150 criminal trials. 

Bob was involved in the medical device industry as a salesman, sales manager and product manager from 1974 until 1988. He began his career as a salesman in the Hospital Division of Abbott Laboratories, a multi-billion dollar international corporation based in Chicago. He left Abbott in 1983 to become Southeast Regional Manager for the Hospital Division of Pall Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of filtration devices. He was responsible for managing salespeople in an area from Washington, D. C. to Florida and west through West Virginia, Kentucky and Alabama. He moved from Woodbridge, Virginia to the Pall Corporation home office in Glen Cove, New York when he was promoted to National Product Manager responsible for sales of Blood Transfusion Products in the United States and Canada, a position he held for three years before moving back to Massachusetts to open a law practice.

Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern University in 1972 and his Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law in 1983.
