City Business(NOLA) Magazine did a recent piece on the costs of criminal justice spending. The PEW Foundation similarly released a report (One in One Hundred) that criminal justice costs are drowning state budgets in many jurisdictions. How might criminal justice information technologies be adapted to emerging policies designed to prevent crime and involvement in the criminal justice system, rather than increase arrests, clearances and convtictions? What is your view?
